　　在举例子的时候，很多同学最常出现的一个问题就是“例子无细节”。什么叫“例子无细节”？我们下面跟随北京新东方北美项目部白老师来看一个题。
　　Do you agree or disagree the following statement？
　　A leader should spend more time listening to others`ideas than talking his own ideas.
　　这个题很简单，它问的是“一位领导应该多听别人的意见还是应该只说自己的意见？”
　　我觉得一个好领导就应该多去关注别人的想法，为了证明我的观点，大家来看，我给出了第一个主题句：
　　First，a leader who pays no attention to subordinates` ideas is likely to make mistaken decitions，which only sets stage for losing.
　　一个领导，如果他不听下属的意见，就会做出错误的决定。而这个错误的决定就会导致团队的失败。
　　这是我的第一个论点。
　　那为了证明这个论点，很多同学会写出这样的例子：我叔，就是一个特别不爱听别人意见的领导，所以我叔的公司就不是特别好。这个例子确实不跑题，但这个例子也真的没有细节，这个例子只是把a leader 换成了我叔，其他基本上都没有变化。所以这种例子在考场很难帮我们拿到good，就是一个很好的成绩，没有做到well developed这样展开充分的要求。
　　所以怎么改变这种想法呢？我们怎么写出有细节的例子呢？大家只要做到三个字就行，叫“具体化”。
　　例子的本质很简单，就是要具体化，宽泛名词，什么意思呢，我们还是回到刚才这个主题句：
　　First，a leader who pays no attention to subordinates` ideas is likely to make mistaken decitions，which only sets stage for losing.
　　这里边哪些名词比较宽泛呢？我们来看：
　　a leader一个领导，大家需要把它细化成什么样的领导，
　　下属的意见，大家需要细化成“下属给领导提了什么样具体的意见”，
　　领导做出的“错误决定”也需要细化成具体的错误决定，
　　最后lossing，不能只说领导失败了，需要具体写出什么样的失败。
　　所以只需要把这些名词全部细化了，就能写出一个非常好的例子了。我们来看一个具体案例：
　　An example that can illustrate this point involves Henry Ford，the founder of Ford Automobile Company.After the unprecedented success of Model T，the first low-priced car in the automobile industry ，he disvalued the  input of all his subordinates to refine his Model T.Blindly trusting in what he believed was an unerring instinct for the market，Ford refused to follow other automobile manufacturers in offering such innovative features as conventional gearshifts when other car manufacturers were all striving to develop more innovative cars.Finally ，his unwillingness to let his subordinates participate in decision-making process cost him the dominant position in the automobile industry.
　　大家看一下我是如何细化这些词的。
　　首先leader细化成了 Henry Ford，the founder of Ford Automobile Company.美国历史上伟大的工业家，亨利福特。
　　下属提了什么具体化的意见如何细化？ideas细化成refine his Model T，希望福特能够更新一下T形车。
　　而福特做出了什么样的错误决定呢？Ford refused to follow other automobile manufacturers in offering such innovative features as conventional gearshifts .福特拒绝提供一些创新功能
　　最后福特怎么失败了呢，细化成失去了汽车业的主导位置cost him the dominant position in the automobile industry.
　　这就是一一细化主题句中的关键词，这就是个非常切题，有细节的例子，大家学会了吗？
　　怎么写一个好例子，只要记住两个词“具体化，宽泛名词”。
